About Barb Yates Dudding

I believe art art should make people think and feel. As an artist, I concentrate on trying to capture the essence of my subject and a moment in time. I want the viewer to enter my paintings and see the world through my eyes.
I work in oils, this medium allows me to be spontaneous and loose. I love to use bold color to capture the feeling of each painting. My work has been described as expressionistic and painterly. I have studied with many teachers, but one has impacted my work the most, Don Sahli. These teachers helped me to open my mind and go beyond.
I have been fortunate to have been included in several galleries and many shows. My work is in collections in Colorado, Texas, New Mexico, Florida, Calif. and Arizona.
I live in the beautiful Colorado mountains with my 3 dogs.
